作为一位科学家,一生中最荣耀的时刻之一就是研究成果被世人认同。

张医师于2011年至美国纽约大学担任全职科学家,于2005年在国际期刊中发表了崭新学术论文。

论文内容指出“早期学者发现小鼠卵子发育至GV时期,其受精及后续胚胎发育之生长因子皆以筹备完成,因为认为GV时期后的卵子不需要卵丘细胞的支持。”但在张医师研究中发现“oct-4”在胚胎发育中扮演重要角色。

GV时期至MII时期的卵子在发育过程若有卵丘细胞的支持,其oct-04在胚胎发育过程中是正常的;反之若GV时期至MII时期,卵子没有卵丘细胞支持,其oct-04表现是相当混乱的。若使用这些没有卵丘细胞支持的卵子进行受精后移植至母体体内并不能活产小鼠。

此篇论文发表著名期刊 [Human Reproduction]中,世界著名生殖医药学专家 “Ryuzo Yanagimachi”也因为张医师所发表的论文而改变他原本的想法观念并寄明信片致谢。
